Cosmic Science Slam

How do stars form? How do galaxies evolve? How do we explore the largest structures in the Universe? These and many other questions are at the heart of current research and are investigated by the scientists at the Hamburg Observatory.

As part of a Science Slam, five researchers will compete for the audience’s vote. Have your say: who succeeds best in presenting their scientific findings in an engaging and accessible way?

In 15-minute talks, the latest topics and observations from astrophysics will be explained across a wide range of scales – from supernovae to the largest structures in the Universe, galaxy clusters.

Some of the talks will be held in English.

Admission: €15, reduced €13. Duration: approx. 90 minutes.
